It's a scam. This is called Phishing. What he will do is ask you for personal information about you and your life, like mother's maiden name, social sec #, etc, then he will empty your bank account, or get credit cards in your name, etc. Delete the message and block the sender.

If you have no knowledge of a family member in Malaysia then it's bogus. Plus How did they get your e-mail?
I say it's Bogus. Probably they got your e-mail address by hacking into an internet purchase or something and just sent you that to verify your last name and by doing just that, they are obviously verifing your address and any other information you gave. Or it can just be a friend who is tricking you with a different e-mail.
What ever it is. If it's true, you would get a letter through the mail with all the attorneys information including address and telephone number NOT an e-mail.

That's a scam email. But you can search on snopes.com for common scams and other email things that go around.
believe me - what you got is totally bogus and you'll not get any money until you send them money - but then again - they'll take your money and you'll never hear from them again.

this is totally bogus!! I get those all the time. If you were to contact them, they want money from you next, perhaps by sending you a check they want you to send them money for but then after you have sent them money your bank will tell you their check is no good. Just mark it as spam.

it's bullshit, unless you know the person who's supposedly passed away then it's spam. Ignore it. Why would someone you have not enough contact with to know they're dead leave you anything?
