Every time I see her she has something new that isnt my style at all. I appreciate her thoughtfulness but I dont want to be obligated to wear the clothes. And I dont want to lie to her and tell her I like everything when I hate it.

"I appreciate the thought, but it's not necessary for you to buy me clothes. Please don't do it anymore. Thanks"

I had that problem my whole life with my grandmother, she bought me old lady clothes that I HATED, and don't get me started on the ugly shoes. And when she died my dad tried to give me her clothes and couldn't understand why I didn't want any because she bought expensive clothes. My family doesn't pay any attention to me, who I am, my sense of style, anything. I just gave everything to the Goodwill or whoever was collecting stuff that week. And by the way, I'm a middle aged woman, and my family still doesn't know who or what I am.

Find a way to tell her "this style (or look) just doesn't work for me, and I hate to see you waste your money." Then show her pictures of clothes you DO like so she'll have some idea of why what she's given you just doesn't work for you.

well, i am i the same position, what i have done is talk to her very politely and tell her how you feel and if she can't accept the then she is not a very good friend and if she dose not accept your feelings the n tell her your sorry but i just can't handle all the things you give me and i don't like the clothes or things you get me because we both are different. and the things we chose are different to and the things you get me don't really suite my personality.

tell them you have converted to Christianity; then possibly they are going to offer you some Jesus statues to maintain the Buddhas employer! (I think of, as a Buddhist, you' ve examine Thich Nhat Hahn. He keeps a image of the Buddha and Jesus spectacular next to a minimum of one yet another on a wall in his homestead) besides, suitable of luck with this unique difficulty. "enable us to upward push up and be grateful, for if we did no longer learn lots today, a minimum of we found out a splash, and if we did no longer learn a splash, a minimum of we did no longer get ill, and if we've been given ill, a minimum of we did no longer die; so, enable us to all be grateful." Tell her that you appreciate the gifts but she doent have to and if she keeps doing it just tell her to please stop because she's filling up your closet and if she offers to buy you a new closet, she's obsessed so stop the friendship before someone gets hurt.

well, tell her that its not your style. if she thinks you like it, tell her "this is cute, but its not my style...and i dont want clothes in my closet if i might not wear clothes that are not my style."

have you ever been shopping with her? if you do go browsing somewhere together, point out things that you like so you can give her hints as to what your style is. also point to things you don't like. she should proabably get the hint.
