No, time travel from a physical standpoint is not possible. The closest thing to time travel that is allowed in physics is being able to travel fast enough to slow down time in our reference frame. Therefore, you could potentially go "forward" in time, but you could never go back. It would be kind of like cryogenically freezing yourself.

No, never. Think about it like this: if a time machine gets invented in the future, there will be loads of people wanting to travel into the past. So where IS everybody?

If there will ever be a machine allowing people to travel back in time we would have been inundated by tourists from the future since the beginning of time. Since we have not then I guess we can conclude there will never be such a machine.

Not like Back to the Future. I did hear something once about people traveling at light speed, say out to a star and back. Time would go slower for them so in a way, it is a time machine... Like, if Bob travels at light speed for a year and his twin brother Steve stays on earth, Bob will be younger than Steve upon returning to earth. Make sense?

Probably not. Even if it's possible (something I really don't feel like discussing) there aren't any serious projects working on it. Scientests mostly get funding for projects they know will do some good instead of wasting billions on time machines and ray guns.

Probably not, that would most likely defy a major law of physics, since you can't create or destroy energy, since you would be bringing more energy to the past or future, you could create a huge imbalance. Not to mention the fact that time travel is a bad idea, since anything we do could drastically alter the future.

Maybe there already is. Do you ever get a feeling that you left your keys somewhere and there not there. After searching everywhere, you find them in a place that you thought was impossible, like the refrigerator. Maybe timetravelers are just moving stuff around to mess with us.

Actually, they might have already found a way to make a time machine. Or maybe it isn't needed.

no, you can't go back in time or in the future since time is another dimension. it's only possible in Hollywood to travel in a time machine.

Of course. How else do you think Leonardo Da Vinci got from the future to the past?
