I ovulated 5 days ago and my temp was lower when I ovulated than it is now, what could this mean? Before I ovulated my temp was around 97.7 to 97.8, the day before ovulation it was 98.13, the day of ovulation is was 98.42, then it droped to 98.08 then to 97.97 then up to 98.28 the down to 98.14 the up to 98.58. Hope someone can expalin this to me.......Thanks!!!

I took an ovulation test on Sunday and it was positive.....my cycles are pretty right on about 30 days long.....

You might want to try www.fertilityfriend.com. You can chart your bbt there and have it analyzed. It's hard to just see your written numbers and get a sense of what's going on. The only I can even guess at would be a progesterone problem. After you ovulate, the corpus luteum (sac containing the egg) breaks down and releases progesterone. Progesterone is what causes your body temp to raise. Good luck to you!

How do you know for sure that you ovulated 5 days ago? Maybe your cycle is a bit off this month and you are ovulating today? You should try today, just in case. Good Luck.

If your temp stays at this third level of high temps it indicates a triphasic chart. Some women have triphasic charts each cycle but it sometimes can indicate pregnancy. But not all pregnant women have triphasic charts.
