So, anything along those lines, I guess, would work... She's really looking for good romantic comedies, though.

Its my type too. Here's what i think she'll like:
Sailormoon series (espcially the last season - Sailorstars) **it was quite a love-comedy story
Galaxy Angels (very much funny ) :)
Ranma 1/2 (i think this is very nice -- one of the best, all episodes and all the OVAs)
Magic Knights Rayearth (I prefer season 1 than the second season, but its nice to watch both)
Hey, the Card Captor Sakura was really nice! I liked it too! :)
Hope she'll like it.

- Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles (same creators as Card Captor Sakura, and it even has the same main characters as Card Captor Sakura too!).
- Spirited Away (if she hasn't seen it).
