Because you can't possibly be "born again" and have a sense of humor...that sht is just too funny to take seriously...and they do take it much too seriously.
Note: Thoughts from a former "born again" fundamentalist christian.

Christ had a sense of humor. As he was being carried away on the cross people could hear him singing that popular show tune " I love a parade". Bad joke I know. Religion is serious business and big business. If the Catholic and Mormon church were taxable corporations they would be among the top ten according to Forbes Magazine. There are few topics that raise the pulse rate like religion and politics, and the two seem to becoming one.

Bcause fundamentalist christians are fanatics who belive that if someone or something is without god, than it's satanic, which is a narrow-minded point of view and its one of the reasons i am an athiest.

Oh but they do.........haven't you ever noticed their hair?! Most are charter members of the BCHC (Bad Christian Hair Club). You can't look like that and not have a sense of humor. ;-)

Well, here's a quote that I used when writing my memoirs. It may offer some insight:
