Firstly, make sure that your skin in cleaned and exfoliated - so that you have no dry bits of skin, because this would show up more after you have applied the foundation and ruin your base. Apply moisturiser, if you use this, but leave to soak in for at least 10 minutes or your foundation could slide off your face.
Please choose a foundation which matched the colour of your skin exactly -( if you have freckles go for the paler shade of your skin not the freckle), other wise you will end up looking like you are wearing a mask and you will not be able to blend it in so that it is natural looking.
I find that by using my fingers to blend it is the easiest way, although other people prefer to use brushes or sponges. Please make sure that your hands are clean otherwise you may transfer dirt or oil into the foundation, and again spoil the look.
Use a mirror, near lots of natural daylight and start from your nose and blend outwards, avoid your hairline and make sure that you cover past your chin into your neck. Check this area thoroughly as you do not want to leave a line of foundation around your face.
Finish with a smattering of loose powder to set.
Apply the rest of your make up, and enjoy your evening.

Using a base makes it easier to apply your normal foundation and hides any redness, blemishes or spots you may have.
First of all exfoliate your face once or twice a week to get rid of the dead skin cells. On the other days use a face wash or a moisturising soap to stop your skin from drying out. If you have dry skin on your face the foundation will not reach its maximum potential.
Make sure you buy the correct base and foundation to match your skin tone. A good foundation will blend into your jaw line.
First of all apply a skin moisturiser as this will make it easier to rub your base foundation in. Next apply your main foundation and add a light blusher to the apples of your cheeks. Smiling when you do this will make it easier.
Hope this helps!

Make sure your foundation is the right color for you or you will have a mask line! I have found that using you fingers is the best way to apply foundation as you have better control of how much you put on and where you put it! If you are looking for an AWESOME foundation try Mary Kay's! Its light weight and is non transferable! So if you hug your guy your face wont come off on his shirt!! Good Luck!!

I tend to find that foundation is way to thick and mask like for when I go out, it tends to melt with all the dancing. I use tinted moisturizer and apply it with a sponge all over, then some blush and highlighter for the top of my cheeks and the under of eyebrows, then set with a translucent powder. This should last you for HOURS!! Don't forget to play with lots of color for your eyes, but remember chose one feature. Do bold eyes with nude lips, or hot red lips with toned down eyes. Either way I'm sure you'll look really cute.
Have fun!

use a foundation thats right for your skin type so ask the consultants for something that would match, and when you want to try for the right skin tone make sure it disappears into your skin and you can't see it, thats how you'll know it will look natural. you can apply it with your fingers (just make sure their clean) or a sponge but sponges tend to suck up all of the foundation so you end up wasting it..you could try a brush, and stroke downwards when you put it on, then let it dry and if you want you brush on a loose powder to set it in if you want a matte look or just leave it like that its up to you

Try bareMinerals. It goes on evenly without looking made up, and it blends really good so you don't look like you are wearing a mask. You can pick up the starter kit with all the brushes included pretty reasonable.

Use your ring finger to apply gently in an upwards motion. If you are young, you may not want to wear any at all. It doesn't necessarily cause acne, but if you are not really great at cleaning your face, you take a chance of breaking out.
