YES, but I have to get away from the house and out of town, too. Usually to the river beach to get my toes int eh sand (or to the ocean if I have a whole day or weekend) or just up into the woods to be quiet and commune with the natural world. No radio or phones, maybe some target shooting or just a walk through the trees, take some pictures, things like that.

most times and depending on what your family is like, it's difficult getting "quiet time". Getting away for a few minutes allows you to stop the "noise" and destress. It doesn't always solve a particular problem but it gives your system time to relax. If it's a knoty problem then relaxing takes more than just "quiet time" it may take days for you to formulate exactly what you want to say or do. I find that the longer time I have (within reason) the better I am to cope and respond sensibly, and the better I can respond the better I feel inside (feel refreshed).

the only time i have ever needed quiet time was when i was the only waitress on the floor in a truck stop restaurant when the roads were closed and the place was full, i went in to the managers office closed the door turned off the lights, after a few minutes i was started to worry about the guests and knew it was time to go back and was refreshed and able to continue for several more hours. so yes i guess it works for me.

Absolutely! I need to have quiet time about 3 times a week, for at least 2 hours.
People can be overwhelming and society moves at such a fast pace, that a "quiet time" is absolutely needed!!

Absolutely. Sometimes I take a mini vacation and just do something alone for 30 minutes or so. I need that time to think or just get rejuventated. I find that relaxing in front of the fireplace in the evenings is therapeutic. It's down-time. We need to allow ourselves quite to think and come up with new ideas.

Very. I work with the public for a living, and will often take a week off just to get away from people. I do feel rejuvenated after an extended absence.

I live alone, and have for many years, so I have no basis for answering with regard to long-term need.
However, In my work in particular, I often feel the need to take just a few minutes to get away from people and things and to clear my head.
Yes, it does help.
Usually.

YES! There are just times when I can't stand being close or hear a person talk, so when I take my "me time" its like if I started my day all over again.
