If you mean unique as in they won't be one of many in their classroom with the same name, I would check the SSA popularity lists. It's funny that so many people are suggesting Nevaeh, as it is one of the fastest names on the chart rising in popularity right now. Watch out, it will be far from unique in a couple years. With that said, I recommend underused classiscs for people looking for unique names for babies. You can rest assured that, although they may sound boring to middle aged women today, they will be fresh and unique to the next generation of Mackenzie's, Madison's and Nevaeh's.
Some girl names I think will be unique are Josephine, Rosalie, Matilda, Cecily, Marie, etc.
Boys names- Peter, Henry, Sebastian, Keegan, etc.
Good luck!

Clarina is a village in Ireland and a species of butterfly. It is derived from the Latin word Clarus which means "bright, clear"
Amina means Safe
Adela means Noble
I'm not too big on unique names for boys. I think they have it harder than girls because a name that is too different for a boy often labels him as some undesirable things. Maybe something unusual like Zechariah "Yahweh remembers."

How about a unique name for the MIDDLE name? Too many parents pick a "strange" first name. The parents love it but the kid has to live with it for the rest of their life. Kids are nasty.
Personally, I really wish my first name was normal. I've had problems all my life.
