You can only stop this with help. If you don't want to go to a doctor at this point, then maybe its time to confide in a family member or close friend. Stress is a serious medical condition with many different respones, both mental and physical. Too many factors involved make it impossible to answer your question accurately. But you really need to talk to someone about this please. Good luck

It certainly sounds to me that you may have schizophrenia, possibly brought on by the recent stress in your life.
Many other people have this and it is more common in men than in women.
Unfortunately, there is no way to stop this without the right medication and for this you would have to see your doctor and he would most probably refer you on to a psychiatrist to sort out medication.
You would not have to go into hospital.
Once you are on the right medication, you can live a normal life and any record of your appointments would be strictly confidential and as far as I am aware if any future employer wanted to know your medical history for a job or anything the doctor is not allowed to give them your medical records, they are only allowed to say whether they think you are fit for the job or not so I wouldnt worry about that.

Depends on what he is asking. The condition is called schzephorenia (if I spelt that right).
If the voice is telling you dangerous things like murder or suicide, then under no circumstance should you not see a doctor for your own (as well as others') safety. Although this may be built up over time.
I recommend talking to the voice. You would wat to understand this person in order to know what you want to do next.
The person could be echoing your feelings or thoughts. Does the voice in your head be representing someone? Your boss? Father? Old teacher? Idol?
The voices of older men is usually meant to represent an authoratve figure and instructing you to do things (which can be dangerous depending on the context). Could it be because you had experiece strong pressure when you were younger e.g. a death of a family member? strong parental pressures? pressure to perform in your work? etc.
I am really in favour for you to seek medical assistance and I would not recommend you to take my advice as a substitue for professional advice. My advice may do you more harm than good, but whether you want to take it is up to you, just as whether you finally decide to take any medical assistance.
Good luck

Hearing voices isn't good my friend - a classic sign of schizophrenia (and a multitude of other physical and mental disorders)
You need professional help. Don't worry about the records, they are confidential anyway, family members/friends/employers do not have access to your medical records...
It could be something brought on by the stress, but it could also have more sinister roots. Do you smoke? Drink? Eat red meat? These all increase the possibility of a blood clot, and cancer
There's a good chance that the dr will put you on antidepressants for a month, and that'll be the end of it, but just in case... Get to your GP... NOW!

Sweetie, records are private. Get yourself down to the doctors, it's probably just stress, it is curable. Stress can cause allsorts of problems, even as severe as loss of speach. Lavender oil on yoour pillow at night will help this, but it sounds like you need to get it sorted immediately. You are not a loony, just stressed, just don't let it gripe you until you ar unable to scratch to the surface. xxx

Am not joking, but you ever considered you might be hearing dead people, you could have this ability to hear and see people on the other side go to a medium you never know

Go and see a doctor who can refer you to a councellor. Its better for it to go down on your record than for you to possibly get worse because you dont know what might happen without help.
