2.265kg= 2265g, so 2265/100=22.65. Discard the .65, because you can't make 0.65 of a batch of cupcakes, and you get the answer, 22 batches. Hope this helps!

If a small bag of sugar weighs 2.265 kg and a batch of cupcakes requires 100 g of sugar, then

1kg =1000g

2.265 kg x 1000g/1kg = 2265g

Number cupcake batches = Weight of bag of sugar / weight of sugar required for one cupcake batch

2265g / 100g = 22.65

You can make 22 batches of cupcakes and you'll have 65 grams of sugar left in the bag. Avoid rounding the value up because the 65 grams does not make a complete batch.

kg=kilogram-1000 g (grams), Convert the amount of sugar into grams and then divide by how much sugar it takes to make each batch.

You have 2.265 kg of sugar to use or 2.265 x 1000 = X grams - 2265 grams

2265g of sugar/100 grams per batch - 22.65 batches

First check out how many grams there are on 1 kilogram. Then convert 2,265 kg to grams. Then divide how much sugar it needs to make one batch with the amount of a small bag of sugar. Done!
