i know what you mean, i have a male friend and when he comes around to my house some of my female friends go away, and some of my other male friends do the same, so what he`s gay, live and let live that's what i say, if they don`t like it then they are not the friends i thought they were

A lot of people have their own sexuality problems. Look at Ken S’s answer, he’s against gays for a lot of reasons and won’t WASTE HIS TIME writing them all down (his words). If that’s the case why does he keep looking up all the gay related questions and answering them? Just click into his profile, is that really what STRAIGHT guys do? The biggest homophobes always turn out to be gay or bisexual themselves. Straight guys would be online looking up female big boob pictures, not all the gay stuff on yahoo answers.

Oh I've heard it all, and all of it is pathetic
`It's against the natural order` - yeah, that's why they denied women the right to vote

`God didn't make adam and steve` - yeah, that clearly says god hates gay people, i mean it's equivalent to writing `I hate gay people` isn't it?

`Sodom and Gomorrah` - Yeah, perhaps you'd like to reread those passages again yourself rather than taking it on word that it's what it means. If you call that proof of God's hatred for gays, you're an idiot.

`Leviticus says...` ...a lot of things, it's old, it's irrelevant and if you're wearing a polycotton or have a home vegetable garden, you'll join me in hell.

`It denies biology` Does it really? Just because GLBT can't reproduce doesn't mean they contradict biology, get your facts straight

`It's just sick/wrong/different` Well it's diversity, it's not sick, it's just different and you'd better get used to it - the world is full of gay people.

Look, gay people are a fact of life, and any beliefs you hold that make you find us unacceptable are your own, but we don't want to hear about them, so don't tell us. End of the day, this is diversity and it's a fact of life and if you can't get used to it, more pity you. If it's from religious beliefs (as it often is with christians), then remember that judging isn't your place and you can keep it to yourself. You aren't going to earn any extra credit for judging, you're going in reverse, and you've forgotten to love your neighbour as yourself.

I'm only against gay people when I'm hugging or making love to one. Right up against them. :D

What you mention is a sad state of affairs, but things are changing. More people are coming out, so more people are seeing that gay and lesbian people aren't that different. We have a GLBT org where I work now. Something that didn't exist 4 years ago.

It will start to drop by the wayside soon. The parallels with the racism I've seen in the south is striking.

I understand what you're saying - it seems to be human nature to "pick-on" or belittle anyone who is different from the mainstream. Having said that - the only problem I really have with the gay/lesbian community is that they seem to want the whole world to know that they are gay - I mean, I don't go around making sure everyone knows I'm heterosexual. I guess I just don't understand.
By the way, you're spelling is atrocious.

I read the same question, and I know where your getting at with it... People are just narrow minded homophobics, and we can't do anything about them, but just the same, they can't do anything about us either... We are still going to live our lives... be happy, have a family, have children, get married (some states DO allow it) and go out and have fun. We can still vote, go out, hell we even have gay clubs, (and yes straights, we don't judge you, so your welcome) and marriage will be in EVERY state, just wait! so let them talk all they want, because we will still be here, forever!

i'm not. i don't judge people based on their sexual preference, race, gender, age and i'm not the type to judge. if men want to be with men, and women want to be with women then so be it. it doesn't concern me and why should it? it is their choice and i'd never question it. they are still human beings and do normal things like the rest of us. the only thing that's different is their sexual orientation. the same applies to blacks, asians and other minority groups: yes they are different but they are still the same species and that is human. they have jobs like the rest of us and have interests like the rest of us too.

as for diversity live and let live. i treat everybody with respect. i don't waste my time with bigots.
