You will find most who profess to supporting such action have never been in a conflict situation, and pi%%ed themselves on the first time out. However if this was brought home, say outside their house. I feel we would be in agreement sir, in saying how very fast there view would change. And as for sex, I do not think these people could preform such an act.

I think you 're wrong. I believe the people that support the war are the ones easily led around by the " media ring " in their noses. As a child in the U.S. you spend much too much time in front of the tv. The media minds spend billions learning how to control your emotions through what we see and hear there. Market research is a perfect example. The government spends much more than that learning just how to manipulate it's citizens.
The war everyone is concerned about is in Iraq. Why are we there ? The original reason WAS NOT September 11 . September 11 is why we are fighting in Afghanistan two countries to the east. Iraq was because there was Weapons of Mass Destruction..( OOPS ).......then it was Al-Quaida training grounds....( Sadam hated Al-quaida more than the Bush administration ).......He is an Evil Despot.....NONE OF OUR BUSINESS, or we'd have to get rid of the leaders of Venezuela, China, North Korea, Saudi Arabia ( our Allies ) , Libya, etc...........
But when the question was raised about the Iraq war, the peoples Patriotism was questioned with rhetoric about terror and 9 / 11, which had nothing to do with Iraq.
Is it the Hawks vs. Doves ? I don't think so.
In retrospect, war is a necessity to assert ones power or position over others, both for it's own benefit and that of it's allies.
As far as sex is concerned, that doesn't belong in the media at all. There should be FAR more restrictions on it than there are now. Why else are skanks like Paris Hilton and Brittany Spears and the rest of the " Snatch Squad " even getting any publicity ? Do we really need to get a " glimpse of glisten " when some pig gets into a vehicle that sits 2 " off the ground without panties?
Do rappers and comedians really need to use the " F " word in EVERY sentence ? Do we need to see the nipples on big fake boobs on Comedy Centrals roasts, let alone the obviously strung out guest ? Andy Dick is an offense just by being alive !
Do we really need video games that include rape and and murder ????
Next time I'll tell you how I really feel !!!

I do not believe that anyone would simply like war, but, have had no choice but to be a part of war, due to some international conflict. I also don't see a connection with war and sex, it is not like a domestic issue, where people are known to have sex after physical fights or abuse. Can of a catcthy question one might add.

Do I like war? No. Do I think war is necessary for peace to prevail? Yes. There's a difference. Winning this war is very critical to the future of this country. If we do not get Iraq under control, we will be staging the beginning of WW3. We will be allowing extremists to plan another attack on this country. It will pave the way for the draft to be reinstated. I'm not for war, but I am for keeping the war off our land. So before you make assumptions, find out the real reasons people are for this war. I have 5 family members serving in Iraq. 2 cousins, 2 brother in laws, and an uncle. They are all marines. See, it's not that I don't care about the soldiers, it's that I care about the future of this country.

That is a very interesting question. Being retired military, and having dodged more than one bullet in more than one conflict, I can honestly say the the majority of supporters (from my perspective) still genuinely believe that this is a patriotic response, and the the traditional values surrounding this conflict are security for family, home and homeland. It's not that we "like" war... war sucks! Sometimes though, the alternative to war sucks even more.

Regardless, of what one may feel or think, it is the benefits of war, that gives all the freedom they enjoy today. It is an option used by not just government, but people as well, forming revolutionary's and militias. Although, there are those whom opposes war, war is always a imminent part, in the direction of ones country, to succeed or be overthrowned. Simply, not all peace talks works, but a war will get their attention and results needed, if initiated properly!

Not me, I hate violence as a rule but I am not naive enough to believe that terrorist can be negotiated with. I don't like the way the war has progressed but that doesn't mean that we should just forget it and let terrorist take over the country. I think that shows far less compassion than keeping our troops there and trying to win.

those who drove the marketing campaign to invade Iraq lied about the justifications for going, and did no longer have a clue about the outcomes of their movements. they extremely believed that u.s. must be popular as heroes, even as failing fully in both the planning and preparation for the invasion. They disregarded the advice of the militia command who reported a concepts more desirable troops must be required, understanding finished properly that had the quantity of the price in lives and funds been disclosed previous to the invasion, there is no longer a snow balls threat in hell that Congress ought to have voted to help this conflict.

I support finishing what we started to avoid what could happen if we cut and run- I think war sucks-people who fight are stupid and that if everyone would stop shoving their opinions on others it would be alot more of a peaceful world. I am also hugely honored by the men and women who defend thids country and what they have given to it and that a secure, competent military force is absolutely necessary because there will always be other rulers and countries that wish to attack us or others who are less able to defend themselves. I think this is a "push button" question, though interesting- and also the personality of which you speak is relatively low.

I think mainly it's just because only 23% of people learn from history.
Though I'd imagine most people aren't pleased about what's happened in Iraq, we understand that there are no perfect wars, and that leaving now will result in a weakening of our standing in the international community. We'll be inviting terrorist attacks, we'll be leaving the Iraqi people to get dominated by yet another dictatorship, and we'll be letting the entire world know that our military has no backbone.
It's important to ensure that Iraq will be able to stand on it's own before we leave by eliminating the militias and strengthening the Iraqi military. Then it's time to turn our attention to the issue of Palestine and ensure that Israel is given all the assistance they need in ending the threat of attack on their land.
