I got my period on Jan 7, 2006 and had unprotected sex on the 18,and 19th of jan which was the 11th and 12th day after my period.. I know I ovulated on the 20th so even though I didn't have sex on the 20th do I still have a higher chance of getting pregnant being that it was so close to the day I ovulated.. I know it's to EARLY to take a pregnancy test just yet.. I just want to know if there is a good chance because we really WANT another baby =)

Even though you ovulated around the 20th you still have a good chance of being pregnant. Sometimes cycles aren't textbook you could have ovulated on the 18th or 19th or even on the 21st or 22nd. Also sperm can live in you for up to 5 days! If you are pregnant you would be almost 3 weeks along and you can expect to get a positive test in another 1-2 weeks so stock up on those dollar store HPT's!!

Well, the sprem can live for up to five days inside you, so chances are some of the ones from the 18th or 19th were still swimming around when you ovulated on the 20th. I'd say you have pretty good odds on conceiving, based on the dates.

sounds like you might have a good shot. they say it is best to have sex the day before ovulation. good luck!!
