The current justification for the Iraq occupation, now that the lies about WMDs and Al-Queda ties have been exposed, is that it is supposedly good strategy to 'fight them there so we don't have to fight them here." Doesn't that strategy completely depend on the co-operation of the terrorists? How does our military's presence in Iraq prevent a terrorist group from attacking elswhere? They attacked Barcelona and London, even though we were 'fighting them there'. Can you imagine one terrorist saying to another, "Hey, let's not plant that bomb in that American city. Let's go to Iraq instead! That's where the action is!"

I think we are actually making it easier by sending our best and bightest youth over to them to be slaughtered.
