Ask him if he would rather keep working to support a kid through college or finally go that retirement cruise around the world.
Besides just have lots and lots of sex right now. Ones bound to catch.

If you havent gotton pregnant after trying for 6 months go see a fertiltiy Dr. You are not too old but the sooner you go the better in case there is something wrong they can start correcting the problem now. It took me 4 1/2 years to find the right doctor and get pregnant with my twins, I started at 25 had them at 30. So it could take some time so dont wait too long to have it checked out. Good luck.

My aunt had her last child at age 52. Both my aunt and her son were as healthy as could be. You still have plenty of time. It may just take a little longer to conceive at this age, but I wouldn't worry too much at this point. I'm 25, and I have a six-year-old son already, but I'm trying to conceive again. So far, nothing has happened in 4 months! Problems conceiving can happen at any age. If after a year nothing has happened, then I would seek help from a fertility doctor. Good luck to you sweetie!

It usually does take longer when you are over 30 to get pregnant. The eggs are older. Many women over 30 aren't even ovulating regularly, but they don't know it.
There is a book called What Your Doctor Won't Tell You About Pre-Menopause by Dr. John Lee. There is also one about Menopause. Both of these will help your understanding and your husband's, if he reads them.
I would recommend doing a few things to increase your chances of success:
- use Progesterone cream between ovulation and your next period.
- take Vitex.
- drink raspberry tea.
- take a Zinc supplement.
- take a pre-natal vitamin.
- lose weight if you are overweight.
- cut out sugar and salt entirely.
- exercise (take walks, stuff like that)

It can take time at any age. Talk to your Dr...see if you can get on clomid to speed things up...maybe he needs to be tested?? Your Dr will usually send you for testing because of your age...but 34 isn't old. I had my first baby 4 days after my 35th birthday. I am now 37 and trying for number 2.

I know a neighbor woman that had a kid in her forties...I felt so bad for her knowing what she was going through but they wanted and had the means to support the situation...
Thirty four is pushing it for a first and that means fifty four or older before it leaves the nest...Ask ob for info? infertility can be an issue also at a late age so I hear
