I have two ddr400 dimms. 512mb each. and i want to buy this motherboard:

http://www.msimiami.com/spanish/products/detail_spec/P4M890M-L_spa.htm

however, it says it supports ddr533. but it doesnt remark if its possible if that could work with ddr400.

what i want to do is use those ddr400 on this motherboard, while i get my ddr533 next week. but i dont know if its possible it could damage my dimms or the motherboard if i do that.

please help!!! can i use them, or do I have to wait until i get my ddr533??

my RAM is DDR400... but the link says it supports DDR2 533/400.

the question is... doesnt that mean i need DDR2 400 instead of DDR400???

if thats it, I cant put my ddr400 on the motherboard. or am I tottally wrong??

From the web page:

Supports DDR2 533/400 memory

So yes, your memory should work.

It says it supports both. So go ahead and do it.

Now, a rule to live by when working with hardware. If it doesn't specifically say that it supports something, then don't try it unless you are willing to take the risk of damaging at least one of the components.
