It's useful to distinguish three parts of the amplification problem: converting the guitar's sound into an electrical signal (Transducers); conditioning this signal so that it is appropriate for amplifiers (Preamps); and finally, amplifying the signal (Power Amps).

You can't make an acoustic guitar sound electric but you can make an electric guitar sound acoustic.

You can't do that by tuning it differently. What you could do is get an acoustic pickup, plug it into an amp and add distortion.

well it depends on what you are playing...you cant make it fully sound like an electric but like i said it depends....
