Has it had any affect on the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq? Please, no opinions. And thank you.

It never was part of the constitution. It was a bill that allowed a president to send troops into an area without congressional approval, if he came back to congress within 60 days to obtain it. As far as I know the law is still on the books.

The War Powers Act is not part of the constitution, but is a law that spells out what people in power can and cannot do during undeclared conflicts!

It is still in force and I believe it will be used again very shortly!

The war powers act is NOT part of the constitution. And it needs to be revised for the 21st century and the threat of terrorism and islamofascism.

It is still in effect as law, though its not part of our constitution. Its simply a power Congress has, but as of Jan 2007, they have never once used it

It was never part of the Constitution. Only amendments are part of the Constitution.

The WPA is not, and has never been part of the US Constitution.
