Several people have told me that your polish should match your clothes? What if I wear light blue top? And the lipstick? I don't want to wear dark polish if it looks bad with my clothes. And I've never known when to wear light pink lipstick.

No your lipstick and nail polish do not have match the colors of your outfit.
Ideally, the colors of your makeup should complement your clothing.
For example, if you are wearing navy, gray or black tweed your lip and nail color can be in the burgundy family. For an edgy twist, you can wear a burgundy lip tint with a super dark nail polish like OPI's Lincoln Park after Dark (deep eggplant).
If you are wearing pastels, then choose a flattering your lips but better shade like Revlon's Super Lustrous Lip Gloss in Cherries in the Glow (sheer neutral red) and a soft nail polish like Essie's Sugar Daddy (sheer pink).

You should wear what you feel are good colors for you and you feel comfortable wearing. You don't necessarily have to match your lipstick, nail polish and clothing. It is a matter of personal taste, not what others tell you to wear/be.

Course no, you don't wear same color clothes every day, right? Matching polish would mean ruining your nails! And forget matching with lipstick, that's old.

I don't match my nail polish with everything I were. It looks quite cheesy to me to see someone with matching nail polish,lipstick, and a outfit.

If u look good in 1 color and u have alot of clothes thatcolor u should mke your nail polish that color 'cause u would ear that color alot. And your ipstick. Just make it match your lip tone.

Try to wear neutral color nail polishes, this way you don't have to match it, it'll go with most outfits.

well i think french manicure because its subtle and classic and would go well with a pale colour such as that erm if you wanted a variation you could have a french manicure with a strip of silver or yellow lining, I've seen styles like that they look quite nice, a cream would look nice but not when your wearing the silver so scrap that i really do think a classic french manicure is the best

Thats why I go with the neutral colors or a french.american. ive never heard that but it can clash.. so by going neutral it can go with everything!
