Well, whenever an authority figure asks you to do something, you do it.

My advice? Do what you're told when you're asked. But always use your better judgment, don't jump into a fire just because somebody with authority asks you to. If you don't want to rebel, then don't. It's that simple.

But then again, I've always liked the saying:

I'd rather die on my feet, than live on my knees.

We are born to REBEL. The only people who ever did anything important in this world were rebels. Jesus was a REBEl. It is okay to rebel as long as we are rebelling about the right things. Even teenage rebellion is normal, it is what helps you to want to grow up and break away from parents (its what makes your parents ready to let you go) Being a rebel is a good thing as long as it has an eventual direction for good.

One main reason people rebel is because they don't have a respect for rules or the rule makers.
You need to understand that most rules are made to help you, not to harm you. Find the reason that applies to you, keep repeating this to your self.
Also when you come across a leader that you dislike, or feel like you need to rebel against, think about what qualified them to be in that position. They probably have more experience then you, went through more schooling, or have proven themselves as a leader.
Good luck.

If I knew I would tell you. Unfortunately, I seem to have the same problem. I guess it's a case of not listening to that little demon saying "Do it!". I don't rebel against my parents anymore, just against what I know I should be doing, and sometimes against work. It's hard not to do something you enjoy, whatever the consequences. Skunk Anansie (Hedonism - not sure if the album was Stoosh or Post Orgasmic Chill) said - "Just because it feels good, doesn't make it right", which is all well and good, but it doesn't stop it feeling good either.

Heh, don't listen to those people who say "Just Be Good," because they probably don't know what "Good" is. Most people's perception of Good has somewhat been altered in a way or two, so no one will be able to give a great answer on 'How To Be Good'.

Hmm, well, a good 'idea' is to go out and find out. Why not just ask a pastor at your local church? It's not a bad thing and it will only take a few moments. Also, if you take my advise, then I striongly advise that you speak to more than 1 Pastor. Depending on one human being can be a dangerous thing, even if they do had a deep insight on something.

Another idea is that you should pick up a Bible. It's really not a hard thing to do. Just check it out. It speaks about Loving others and even goes as far as saying that you should love those that hate you. Odd right? Well, why do few teachers tell students to be nice to their bullies? It's so that the bully might realize that this kid is a nice guy and be his friend!

But like I said, most people don't have the right mind to tell you what "Good" is. They will tell you what they believe, that is all.

So in spite of this, should you make up rules for yourself to say "This is Good," or "That is Good?" Nope! Depending on yourself is a bad idea as well because most of the problems in life can be the reslt from your mistakes. So what shall you do?

Well, I can only take you to the door, you have to turn the key and open it.

Go to a Pastor or 3 and ask him or her, "What is it to be Good?".

I might have only made you think of more questions, but answering your question would probably anger you because people do not want to get out of their comfort zone and 'Be Good'.

If I were to tell you, you will never want to talk to those pastors, so go on and find out, ok?! Who knows, you just might have your questions answered in the most surprising way.

Learn to love and put love into your heart. Put God first, others second and yourself third and just maybe no one can offend you. If you can't be offended and you have love, then righteous rebellion will be only against sin.
