The only war T.R. was involved with was the Spanish-American war in 1898, but he wasn't a congressman at ANY time. At that time we went to war against Spain over Cuba and the Philippines. He was the Assistant Secretary of the Navy at that time and I was unaware that he pushed it through Congress. What is your source for that original claim?

Battled Spain for Cuba, Guam and Philippines supposedly over the explosion of the Maine, which was probably a boiler accident
