When I start my car, and next few minutes, my car is fine. After a few minutes it begins to develop a small miss when stopped. About 10-20 minutes into a ride it will start to develop a good shake when stopped. Soemtimes it will start shaking pretty good and my oil light will flicker, possibly due to low pressure. My temperature is higher than normal and at times it starts to overheat. I also go through water fairly quickly. While driving I never really feel a problem. My mechanic told me to change my oil to fix it. I told him I disagreed, but since it was getting near to being due anyway I went ahead and did it. Still having the same problems. Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like your car is having symptoms of a blown head gasket. Some some symptoms that indicate a BHG are white smoke coming from the tailpipe, fluctuating high temperature, bubbling in the coolant overflow tank. Have your mechanic check your cylinders for compression. A low cylinder or low adjacent cylinders is an indication of a BHG.

you're oil is only the small problem, husband had the same problem and he had to replace the motor. it sounds like one of your pistons are going or gone. check each spark plug for oil and remember witch spark plug has oil on it, your mechanic should know what to do with that information. have a diagnostic test done on it, try to save as much money as possible. change thermostat. that could be causing it to over heat or something is plugged. watch taking things apart that have gaskets(that where it cost you) Best of luck!!!

Might be a blown intake gasket. If the coolant gets into your cylinders, you will blow the engine. Check for visible leaks around the outside of the engine, midway down. It usually starts to leak externally first. Also check your oil cap if it has whit residue, then there is coolant in your oil.
