Depends on the couple and their values. Some people can know eachother for years and still not be ready for marriage. Others, who really want to get married, do so in a very short amount of time. I think it depends on the couple and the circumstances. Probably safer to wait, but not a guarentee.

Depends on the 2 people...My mom and dad have been married for almost 35 years and they only new each other for 3 months before they were married!...I waited 4 years!

i dont think anything under a year is long enough.. i once heard that you should know your mate in every season of the year before you make any decisions effecting the future of the relationship.. but really it is customizable to each individual couple.. i've seen relatives married after a month last till they pass away and some after years that dont last as long as they did before..

I would ne inclined to say at least one year, but it does not make any sense. You can have people who've known each other or years who will break up within months of their wedding, and others who've known each other for not so long and will stay together longer.
The truth of the matter is, there is no guranatee of success, never.

I say they should also live together first, I know that goes against some people's religions, but you never know how well you'll get along until you are under the same roof. It changes everything!!!

It totally depends on the couple and the chemistry between them.
Sometimes, 6 weeks is enough to know that it's right and sometimes it takes longer.

it really depends on the couple, but i think what would be best to wait at least a year, and live together for awhile before getting married

whenever they think is right i knew the girl i was gonna marry only 5 months before she went into a coma and wont live long but we felt we were right for each other

its a matter of when you are ready not of time i know a couple who married 2 weeks into knowing one another 9 years later in love w/ a youngin on the way NOW! i dont advise it but....who am i to say....
