i have a friends birthday party in a couple days, and a former friend of mine (who seriously betrayed me) will be there. i have never been in this situation b4, so is there any advice i can get to deal with this awkward situation? i know i will be civil, but what if she isn't . (read my question from the other day to understand what this girl did)

Be civil, since you are there for your friend's bday. But if the former friend says something rude and you can't control your temper, just quietly tell her that you would like to keep matters civil and that you two can meet after the party to hash personal matters out. (Personally, I would ***** slap her at this post-party meeting for ruining the dinner w/ your mom and your evening at party... but that's just me)

If there will be drama just be the better person. Be civil to her and not pay her much attention... You are there for the other friends birthday not for drama.
