I'm not here to judge...I'm just curious because it seems like everyone and their dog does drugs now.

I look at it this way. When you're a kid you are taken to amusement parks to ride the rides that spin you around and make you feel a rush...and that's ok.

Then you get alot older and find out people take drugs to get a similar feeling...and that's wrong or illegal or bad.

Basically there are acceptable ways to feel a rush or a high and there are unacceptable ways to feel a rush or a high.
Some people just want that rush. But they should seek legal and healthy ways to do it...not with drugs which can destroy your life.

I hope not the dogs sheesh that might kill them.
People have tried drugs and they like the effect that the drugs bring on for a while But after a while they don't get the same feelings that the first time had.

Sometimes they use drugs because they wish to forget or escape what ever it is that bothers them..
In the long run after a while it becomes a habit that they can't control .
This is my feelings only

Depends where you're coming from here, on one side, people do drugs to fit in and try to become something, however other people may be going through some sort of life crisis and drugs can be an easy escape. And then you got your folks who just have nothing to do, kind of like when people are bored they tend to eat, well, the same applies for users.

I don't think anyone is doing more drugs than we've ever done. Some drugs have been around since before writing was invented, so it's not really a new thing.

People do drugs to help them get through the day, whether the drug is caffeine, nicotine, aspirin, cocaine or herion. Drugs are a part of every society, whether the society chooses to accept it or not.

Im sure there are lots of reasons, some of which being it can start off small. Just try it to see. Then the use continues or they move on to stronger drugs. Then there are people who wanna use drugs to escape. And some people do it because everyone else does it.

Because perhaps with out even knowing it, they are looking for answers in all the wrong places. Drugs present themself as an escape or another level of consciousness, and that appeals to the taker.

Because they are stupid, plus *this is going to sound bad* they are taught that there is a drug for everything, it is on TV even if your parents don't teach you that. Look at how many children are on drugs for ADD, depression, I am shocked at how many so called parents think that it is OK to give Prozac, and other anti-depressant drug to their kids. Kids are taught that if you have a feeling, take a pill, if you are sad, take a pill, too much activity, take a pill. The list goes on and on.

It is sick, we need to fix this. I am getting off my soapbox now.

I think everyone's reason is different. Some use to escape negative aspects of society, as a coping mechanism. Some use because they want to be part of what they see as "the IN crowd". Some actually use as a form of self punishment

There are tons of reasons, to fit in, to self medicate, to escape the list is endless. I don't know how old you are but the best thing to do with drugs is not to do them...and stay away from people who do it is a very easy trap to get into...and very very hard to get out of...sort of like marriage...!!!!!!

it makes them feel good ( it really is that simple - the real question is how they tune out the consequences of some drugs when they have had actual contact with the results - i suppose it's the - that can't happen to me syndrome - this explains why it is always the young who start using since the old have learned that it can and will happen to them)
