I use nothing but bareMinerals it is great stuff, but here is a few tricks. Start out with the starter kit, it is a way to get the brushes you need cheaper than if you buy them one at a time, then you can buy the full sized products after you run out. Then buy a concealer brush and a one of the Bisque colors that best match your skin tone. Use the concealer brush and the Bisque on blemishes and under eyes then use the bareMinerals foundation on top. If you do that, it will cover up the darkness very well without using a pound of the foundation.

To answer if it give you a lot of color, that depends on what color you buy. If you want color, buy a shade darker than your skin tone, if you don't then match your skin tone.

hi, i imagine the starter kit is tremendous. i have used Be for more desirable than 4 years. My 14 3 hundred and sixty 5 days previous daughter also makes use of it. I stay in Florida were humidity actually eats your makeup in the recent day. bare Minerals lasts all day, i'd reapply the mineral veil if i'm getting vibrant , yet then it is humid right here. The eyeshadows are 15 funds each and every, yet one jar will very last a life time because you only use the dirt interior the lid. it is the secret... you do not go with that a lot. If zits insurance is an argument you should go with to make investments in a man made insurance brush. ( it covers that area somewhat more desirable intensly). yet in case you provide it a threat you may even see your epidermis would not get clogged and also you received't go with it.My daughter makes use of BE and doesn"t have an zits difficulty. It also does a tremendous job masking redness. I many times seem as if Rudolph with my allergic reactions, even though it would not tutor with BE. in case you order from QVC they have a tremendous go back coverage, only in case. yet once you try it you received't go with to be without it. only be particular to apply the dirt interior the lid...it is all you go with. good luck!

I love BareMinerals. I will be using it a year in March. YES it does Cover the nasty Dark Bags under your eyes. And the makeup doesnt break out my face, like some other ones would. And it does give nice colour and life to your face.
Hope you decide to buy it...It rocks!!!

PS: As for the one who answered and said it sucks....HELL NO! Is she CRAZY! I wear my makeup 24-7. I will not leave the house without it....And i still have the same Jar that i bought in March of 06. To me its worth the price, i have saved hundreds of dollars a year by switching. And no there is no Clown Makeup! Its soft and smooth not heavy like liquid makeup, And it looks all NATURAL!!! Plus if you dont like it...Send it back for a FULL refund!!

Well have a great day!

first of all, i totally disagree with sarabmw -- she must use a lot of makeup, because that stuff goes extremely slowly for me.

second, it's hard to say if it will cover your circles. i have the same problem, and am still trying to find a solution. i think partly depends on your age & whether you have fine lines in the area, b/c even though you might be able to find a concealer that covers (not necessarily BM, b/c theirs didn't cover mine), it could crease and settle into the lines and just look bad.

also, be careful with this brand, b/c they put a chemical called bismuth oxychloride in their foundation & other products, which causes a lot of people to break out or itch. in addition, many people complain of shine when using BM.

the amount of color just depends on how much you apply. which depends on which brush you use (flawless = less; kabuki = more), and also how much powder you put on the brush. all are entirely up to you. =)

in closing, i wouldn't recommend bare minerals for their foundation, but they have some excellent brushes. the maximum coverage concealer brush is fabulous for under-eye problems (now you just have to find a product to apply with it! hehe).

i personally am loving a mineral makeup called Aubrey Nicole ( www.aubreynicole.com , and you can buy sampler kits [which come without brushes] for as little as $6.50. http://www.aubreynicole.com/store/home.php?cat=285 . ). this brand contains no bismuth oxychloride. it does contain kaolin clay, which provides better coverage and staying power. also, their makeup comes in both soft and full coverage, AND they offer a separate concealer, which works amazingly well.

whatever you decide to do... Good luck!

Yes it provides good coverage but I would try some drug store brands before you shell out the bucks for bareminerals.
Loreal and Physicians Formula make mineral makeup that cost a lot less and works just as well. Plus the drugstore brands have more SPF. Also I have sensitive skin and the bareminerals made my skin itch like crazy!

I am a firm believer of bare minerals makeup. Have used it for years. I had problems with eczema on my skin and tried that. It was the only makeup that helped. Even after trying Estee Lauder, etc. I only use the powder foundation though. Found that I didn't really need all of that other fancy stuff. Just need to find the right color that suits you. I find the best price on Ebay. I stand by their product 100%! And yes it does cover flaws pretty well.

First off the kit is VERY small, you can run through it easily in less then two weeks, if you apply makeup everyday. Also, if you not good at putting on makeup, it's hard to apply it without looking like a clown or a ghost. Once it's on, it feels good but it's not worth the price, because the jars are soooooooo small.

i have been using it for years now and i will never use anything else. in the starter kit you should get a smaller brush that will help cover smaller areas like under eyes and blemishes. You will also get a bronzer with the kit that will give you a hint of color...but don't go overboard with it.

I bought the kit and hated all of it except the mineral veil. To get it to cover the circles and blotches is was way too dark - not natural looking at all.

However, I started using the mineral veil with a small amount of tan OVER my liquid makeup (like a bronzer) and that looks great. It's just not worth the money if you can buy the same thing (a bronzer) for $15.

It is only a starter kit and does not include the product used for eyes. you can try to use the lighter shade that is included in the box, which worked for me. But if you have really bad darkness, try TimeBalm Concealor - available at Sephora. I love it!
