Gripe water is a good solution, make sure to follow the directions for her weight. Also, another option that worked out great for my two kids was OVOL gas relief drops. Again, follow directions. Never administer medication according to their age group though. Use her weight. A 20 lb 5 month old will require more medicine than a 15 lb 5 month old... they are bigger! Just keep that in mind..and take care. Gas can be painful and its best to nip it in the bud sooner than later.Good Luck

FENNEL TEA !!!!!!! My baby, now 3 months old, had terrible gas from the very beginning and she would scream because she was in so much pain. Gas -x and all the advise from my pediatrician were useless. My mother used to give me fennel tea. Fennel is a seed that is soothing to the belly. All you do is cook tea with it and give it to your baby straight, especially if you are nursing, or take half water and half tea to make her bottle. It will not take away her gas, but it will allow her to pass it and take away the pain. I absolutely swear by it and it has turned my suffering, crying baby into a happy always smiling baby. Try it, I know it will work for your baby and for you, because your baby will not be in pain anymore.

I've heard Mylicon drops work wonders.
Also, try taking her feet and gently rocking them a little into her chest. When I babysat a very gassy baby, that always worked. She would pass gas every time I gently pressed her knees into her tummy, and she always felt better.

yes, bend the legs like riding a bicycle. Also as a last resort, try the baby gas medicines.

You can buy gas drops for babies. You can add it to their formula or breast milk. Sometimes you can find a generic brand it is cheaper than the brand that mylicon puts out. I use them with my baby it helps her out a lot.
