Because Eli Manning has improved since the 2006 season even though the stats don't really show it. Eli Manning doesn't cost his team the game like Rex usually does. Rex Grossman had the chance to win a SB but couldn't get it done. Eli Manning won the SB for the Giants at the end of the game. Eli Manning showed that he could play error free in the playoffs, something Rex can't do. Therefore, Eli Manning is an overall way better QB than Rex Grossman. Edit: The defense certainly had something to do with the Giants playoff run, and so did your defense last year.......but Rex couldn't do enough for them to win (Bears only got 2 touchdowns, 1 by Hester's return and the 2nd one a turnover and Thomas Jones basically gave you the touchdown).

Though it pains me to say this Peyton Manning is the more consistent QB but when Grossman is on he is one of the best. However both of them can play really badly too, though Grossman tends to play worse more than Peyton. Either way I hate Peyton Manning but I will give him credit for being the most consistent QB in this Super Bowl. I still hope the good Grossman comes to play and the Bears cream the Colts!!

Manning by far. He is an excellent quarterback, Grossman is a poor quarterback on an otherwise very good team. The Bears win despite Grossman not because of him.

Peyton is the better quarterback, be it stats, or just plain smarts...he plays better, he knows how to lead his team. Rex doesnt have a good rating, he doesnt handle pressure very well, but lets not 4get the Bears are in the Superbowl for a reason, and they prove defense and special teams can win games...so i dont think it will come down to QB's, i think it will come down to what defense has a better game.

This Super Bowl is a very unique situation becasue it is the best QB in the NFL (Peyton) versus who is most likely the worst full time starting QB in the NFL (Rex Grosspasser)

Sonny Jurgenson, even @his age, is still a better and more consistent QB than Rex "Where's the ball" Grossout. So Archie Manning, Jr., by default.

Manning has accomplished more as far as numbers go and as an all round quarterback but of course everybody always remembers who won the superbowl so a lot of his legacy will depend on getting it done vs the Bears as his big chance is now here.
