I asked this question late last night, the few answers I got haven't helped (but thanks for trying). This problem only seems to happen with Yahoo Browser, and the Yahoo Answers section. I can't see certain things other people can, like thumbs up and down, pencil icon, additional details button, action bar. I've never been able to see these. Another example is on the Yahoo home page where it says you can change colors or themes. I try to, but I never see any colors or themes, same with 360 page. My computer isn't old at all, it's just over a year old (someone had asked me if it was). At the top of Yahoo answers, I see these big, white empty rectangles where I'm sure something is supposed to be. Can someone with computer smarts pleeeese help??

To clarify-I can't physically see any icons-I can't see any action bar or thumbs up or down. When I go to the change themes page and click on a theme I want, it just doesn't happen.

Do you have the latest versions of Flash (http://www.adobe.com) and Java (http://www.java.com)?

If so, try clearing your internet cache.

The thumbs-up and thumbs-down elements are shown to the right, at the bottom, of each individual already-given answer to an already-asked question. The pencil icon is shown in the bar at the bottom of an already-asked question and may be clicked to let the asker add details to the original quetion. To change themes, go to the mail page, click "options" at the top right of the page. You'll be asked to enter your password again to mess with the "profile" you're using at the time. (If I recall correctly, note that, you may click thumbs-up, thumbs-down, to rate an answer, *only* after you've reached a certain points-level.)

Flowerchild,

Look at the right bottom corner of your screen. Look for the 2 little PCs overlapping. Right click the PCs and left click "Repair"

If that doesn't work, I suggest downloading and trying WinSockFix. There's a link for it below:

Use Firefox. It's a good web browser, and it doesn't have issues like this.
