Yes we do. We set them back an hour in the Fall and then forward an hour in the Spring.

There are lots of explanations for it, such as "children don't have to walk to school in the dark," "saves electricity," "commuters to work don't have to drive in the dark in the morning," etc., etc. Of course, then they have to drive home in the dark. None of the explanations I have heard have made any sense.

It's a really, really stupid and annoying practice and I wish our government would stop doing it.

Don't let them start it in your country.

In the U.S. the clocks are set back one hour every autumn except in Arizona and Hawaii. They are then turned forward an hour in the spring. It's called Daylight Savings Time and was originally a concept worked out so workers could have more daylight hours to get their work done in. A strange concept as you can't add any more daylight than there already is but I guess it was easier than changing the time people were supposed to be at their jobs.

I have two answers bcause ur question isnt written correctly!
1. on my island, no, cause the govt says we dont need it.
2. Some manufactuers make clocks that put their numbers reverse, and the time hands rotate counter-clockwise. Its more of a novelty. I have one myself, built in Germany.

In my state we do..and most states except the ones mentioned. We have a saying.."Spring forward and Fall back"..which means each spring on a certain day we turn out clocks forward an hour and in the fall we turn them back an hour.

I've done it myself, but there is an enormous cost to doing so. The clock always reads "Made in Japan" and my 12 year old son still can't tell time.
