I had Lasik about two years ago. It cost me about $3000 (including a lifetime guarantee) and I was able to make payments of about $300 a month.

I am very pleased with it and have not had any problems at all.

As with any procedure there are many possible complications. However, I know a handful of people who have had it done and have been very pleased as well. If you are considering it I would say make sure you do research first and choose the best place to have it done.

You will have slight discomfort the first day but the rocovery time is only a few days.

I had the surgery almost 2 yrs ago after doing all the research exploring the company's rep etc.. as a prudent person and a nurse for the last 30 yrs.. I had only one eye done for mono vision as this is what i had been wearing as contacts for several yrs.. I have had nothing but problems from severe dry eyes that i needed to have permanent plugs put in my ducts so now my eyes water and tears run down my face all day now to night blindness and loss of depth perception the lines in the road cross all the time and i see double when tired. I am going to have it reversed soon to hopefully get my old vision back and just wear readers as before.. would I recommend it NO. I must also tell you that 3 other nurses I work with have experienced some degree of problems with their vision following surgery and all now wear readers, Most Md's I work with won't have it done as fear and risk of worsening vision. Thank God I only had one eye done.

i had mine done about 12 yrs ago, and then they only did one at a time. The 1st one was done 1 week then i had to survive a week with only one eye before they would do the other eye. They do them both together now. They recommended that you took a lens out of your glasses and wore them like that but your vision is too much different out of glasses and made me feel sick! The 1st one was brilliant straight away and i could read peoples number plates on the way home, but when i had the 2nd one i blinked as he was trying to smooth the eye over afterwards (even with the clamp on). I don't know whether it was because the numbing stuff was wearing off but i had an uncontrollable urge to blink and must of turned my eye lids virtually inside out to do it but the front of my eye slid down like wall paper. It was very painful and they left it til the next day when i went back they did it again. My eyes are still very good. I don't think the 2nd eye has ever been as good as the 1st but i'm still very happy with them. My eyes were both -7 and my glasses were like milk bottles and now i don't need glasses at all! I find that i get quite a lot of glare with night time driving but i think you get used to it. Also bear in mind that 12 yrs ago when i had mine done lasik was a fairly new treatment and things have improved massively since then. My brother and my sister had theirs done and are happy too. My mum wanted hers done but unfortunately they found that she had glaucoma and can't have it done. Good luck

My husband had it done. It cost $3000 and he is very pleased. He hasn't had any problems at all. He had to wear protective glasses for the 1st 24 hours and was not supposed to rub his eyes. You need to go in for a consultation first to see if they can even do the surgery on you. They will tell you how much it costs when you do that. Check it out, it's free so why not?

I personally haven't had it but my grandmother and my step grandma have. And there was not complications from either of them. My gma mentioned that her eyes were dry for a couple of days but other than that she was fine. They both had very bad vision wearing glasses for the entire lives. Now they only wear reading glasses.
