Is there a way to eliminate excessive T.V. noise?

Question

You can now buy system that record your favorite shows/movies minutes in advance and remove the commercials. I'm a little hard of hearing and have to turn up the volume to hear voices. However, canned laughter and other louder noises become too loud, as well as commercials. Is there a way to adjust the decibel level to turn down loud noises over the voice level? Hearing aides do not work because it only makes the louder noises worse.

I don't know what that is. Will look in the guide and try it. Thanks!

Turn the radio up or the tv off.
