I'll second that. Diesels generate so much blowby gas, that if you don't change the oil regularly you'll destroy the motor. The only time I use synthetics in my Diesels is when the weather is expected to be well below zero...they do help the motor start when it's very cold. But even then, I change at normal intervals.

As I rule, I never use Amsoil products.

Actually, the synthetic for a diesel is a waste...go Chevron DELO-400 15W-40 from Chevron...GOLD for diesel engines.
