Stumped by Kalu of the bowling of Jayasurya!

Tendulkar was out stumped by Romesh Kaluwitharana, off the bowling of Sanath Jayasuriya for 65 from 88 balls. He was at the crease for 96 minutes, and hit nine fours and no sixes. In that match India slumped to 120 for eight, chasing 252. At the fall of the 8th wicket, sections of the crowd vented their disgust at the state of the match by setting fire to some areas of the stands and throwing fruit and water bottles onto the field. The match was briefly stopped and when play was about to resume, the crowd again threw bottles at the deep fielders. The match referee stopped the game and the game was awarded to Sri Lanka by default. Tendulkar was the only Indian to get past 30, and also took 2/34 from 10 overs.

My dear good girl, the 6th Cricket world cup was held at India along with Pakistan & Sri Lanka in the year 1996.
The Semi final match was played at historical Eden Garden. I have watched the each & every ball of the match as well as the fury of the public.
Sachin was stamped by kalu and actually that was the end of the road for India at that match.

Tendulkar was the only one who could perform in that match. He scored about 65 runs, while others couldn't do anything. And yes, he was stumped by Kaluwitharana of Jayasuriya's or maybe Murlitharan's bowling (I don't remember correctly)
