Is it possible to have both systems running in a house e.g underfloor heating downstairs and radiators upstairs. As I understand it they both run at different water temperatures, so would this have an undesirable effect on the whole heating system?

no, you can have both running. At the end of the day the thermostat controls the temperature of the room and so it will keep heating until the thermostat cuts off. However the rediators are more effective than underfloor heating, you you may find that upstairs get incredable hot whilst waiting for downstairs to warm up from the underfloor heating

I have underfloor heating only. Im not sure of the technical stuff... why would you want both though? Underfloor eating is great because there are no radiators and the rooms look less cluttered, however you miss the radiators when it comes to drying clothes. Maybe this is your reason... I havent really answered the question! Ah well.

Its very dependant on utilization. Underfloor heating works properly in non-provide up purposes - while you're at living house for an excellent number of the day and specific to have the heating on it extremely works properly. in case you artwork long hours and function a house with poor power performance you will no longer desire the warmth on all day, here underfloor structures are poor. The low working temperature skill the gadget needs to be on for long classes to realize the wanted air temperature, in case you desire to spike the interior temperature for some hours an afternoon then rads and a competent boiler are a techniques stronger & greater useful.

Yes it is definitely possible to have both running simultaneously but with the underfloor heating downstairs I take it you are going to have an open fire (or a fancy gas one). Underfloor heating is not as efficient as radiators but when you have open fires as well that is ample. Enjoy!

There is a TEMPERING control that has to be installed and balanced to deliver the proper temperature to the radiant heated floors.
