A hammer drill "hammers" while spinning, sort of like a miniature rotating jackhammer. A battery drill is just a battery operated drill, also known as a cordless drill.

A battery drill is just that...a battery powered drill.
A hammer drill on the other hand has alot more power than a cordless. A hammer drill hammers at the same time drilling.
Mainly used for drilling through concrete and masonry.

I would get a hammer drill, a hammer drill usually has a toggle switch that engages the hammer, which is really useful when drilling through harder objects such as cement. Then when your just drilling through wood, or using screws, just simply flip the switch back to drill. Hope I Helped.

They are all wrong, a battery drill drills trough batteries and a hammer drill drills through hammers. Thats right, hammers.

A hammer drill you can use concrete drill bits and drill thru mortar and cement.
