Christians comprise somewhere around 90% of our country . But after a few hours on Yahoo, you'd never know it !! And after a few hours of Network News, you'd be convinced that the U.S. was largely an Atheistic Society !! And then don't even dare to talk politics, without a whole parade of Christian Haters blaming the Christians for everything , almost as much as President Bush gets blamed for everything from Hurricanes, Global Warming, the color green, and POP-TARTS .
So, when did it become FASHIONABLE to Hate those who LOVE the Lord ? And doesn't the Bible have something to say in DIRECT relation to this Hate ?

No. Lately it's been fashionable to hate Republicans and blame them for everything.

Jesus said, "Love your enemies. Pray for those who persecute you and spitefully use you" and in another place said to turn the other cheek.
I find it interesting in these times that so many people are becoming rude to other people--and I put those people you say "hate" Christians in that category. One reason for this, I believe, is the anonymity of the internet. Basically, I am typing words on a screen-I'm not seeing your face, not gauging your reactions to my words. Those who would "hate" for whatever reason know that their unkind words will not get them any negative consequences past a possible banning from a board or chat room. No one will punch them in the nose, no one will cry or look distressed.
It is wise in any discussion to realize that you are speaking to an individual, who has come to his beliefs and way of life through his life's journey. That person does not represent all of any group he is a part of, including Christians, and so it is unwise to generalize the actions of a single individual and say they are the same actions every Christian would espouse.
Personally, if someone says that I am a good Christian, I take it as a compliment, even though I am of a different faith, for the words of Christ point to the One Path that leads all to the Eternal Goal.

The views of the media don't reflect the views of any other American. Personally, I love Christians, even though I'm an atheist. On the whole, Christians are nice people and great neighbors. I have a lot of Christian friends too. As long as I don't have to hear someone proselytize, I'm a happy camper.

I KNOW!
everyone hates christians,
but they say the other religions are ok!
why does "the gun" have to be aimed at
christians? why do so many people hate Jesus?
is it because theres so much proof that Jesus
is real and people don't want to admit it?
or is it that people don't want to say they sinned
and they are NOT perfect?
did u hear of the Ten Commandments being taken
out of the court?
THAT WAS BECAUSE OF A GROUP OF LAWYERS
CALLED THE ACLU!!
the ACLU takes stuff like that out of public places!
AND KEEPING THE MONEY THEY GET FOR
THEMSELVES! THE ACLU IS RICH!
someone should do something about it but nobody does.
my answer is simple:
CHRISTIANITY Can't , AND WILL NOT, BE
PUT TO REST!!
we christians are not doing anything like killing people,
WE ARE HELPING PEOPLE!

certain. no longer in user-friendly words does it scare me notwithstanding the responses of a few those who imagine that JW's preaching is advantageous and dandy also scares me. Obama must have left this church a lengthy time period in the past, a minimum of earlier putting ahead himself a candidate for the presidency. the incontrovertible actuality that he continues to be a member signifies that he sees no longer some thing incorrect in hating whites and u.s.. Now, what does that say? feels like i am going to vote for Mickey Mouse lower back.

after 5 minutes on Yahoo, you'd think that Bush had higher than a 28% approval rating. My guess is there are just a lot of flamer kids who wish only to upset the balance of normal conversation on this forum. Just ignore them

I don't hate Christians, as I am one. What I can't stand is politicians using Christianity to further their cause... and voters accepting it because they believe it is done under the banner of Christianity. Christianity is not about helping the rich get richer. Christianity is not about revenge. But yet this is exactly what's being done in the name of Christianity by this ethically-challenged administration.

i could ask the samre about any group. it s not "cool" to hate any fellow American or fellow human being for that matter. the hate and division are doing no good for America.
edit the ACLU also stands up for christians rights. why let facts get in the way of hate?

Is this really a religious question and you just conveniently happened to accidentally put it in the Politics category?
Hate breeds hate.
