Not influenced. I have a job where I make great money. Havent made minimum wage ever. That's why it's important to pay attention, and do well in school.

Minimum wage is a joke. If you look in the general help wanted section of the paper, all jobs are well over the minimum wage. I believe that minimum wage is stupid. All it does is keep the wages lower when in reality the job market should set the price. I.E. if no one applies then the wage is to low to attract the right candidate for the job.

I believe it is long overdue and increases should come in more regular intervals. However, this could hurt small local businesses that may employ teenagers at low wages. They now have to come up with the extra revenue to cover the raises, possibly resulting in loss of jobs.

Regardless of what Min. wage is, you can't make ends meet on it. But this is good, it motivates people to do things with their lives that are more productive than flippin' burgers or waitin' tables. I do know people that choose to not do more, but they live less than paycheck to paycheck and occasionally do things that are illegal to get the material things they want. What happens when the physical ability to perform physical labor runs out? How much money will you have saved for your retirement? How will you live?
