It is legal to drive 44tonnes on Uk roads providing the transport has air suspension, otherwise the weight limit is 38 tonnes.

There is no particular regulation governing the necessity of load restraints of multi deck. There are too many load method combinations to make specific regulation for each.

However, the regulations demand that all loads are correctly distributed and appropriately restrained.

In other words,if your vehicle meets axle weight and maximum authorised mass requirements and the load is safely stowed then you are within the law.

yes it is a legal requirement, but weight must be evenly distributed over the full length of the trailer, i know this as my other half is a lorry driver and i have just asked him and he drives multi-decks haha
