I highly recommend that you do NOT go to Gladstone's in Malibu! I used to eat there all the time, and got SICK half the time after I ate there! So, I stopped going and never got sick again. Gladstone's is overcrowded, overrated, overpriced--basically, just OVER!
Now, if you want some good crab or lobster at a lower price, go up the PCH a little ways above Sunset to the Reel Inn. Nice little shack with good food, good service, and reasonable prices.
Another great seafood place in Malibu is the Paradise Cove Cafe, which was founded by the founder of Gladstone's after he sold Gladstone's out to a cold, money-grubbing corporation, which was the ultimate downfall of Gladstone's. Paradise Cove Cafe has a quieter, more friendly atmosphere and the food is great. I have had Surf 'n Turf there, and it was excellent.
Duke's in Malibu is cool, too, but I highly recommend Reel Inn and Paradise Cove Cafe. But, at all cost, completely AVOID Gladstone's, and SMACK anybody who recommends it!

King's Fish House will be featuring Rock Lobster very soon. There is one on Pine Ave. in Long Beach and one at Bella Terra Mall in Huntington Beach.

Try "The Lobster" right next to the Santa Monica pier...
North of LA, try the Lobster Trap in Oxnard at Channel Islands Harbor...
South of LA, check out the Cannons in Dana Point.
whatever you decide, stay away from Red Lobster and similar chain restaurants...
