After some months of unemplyment I must say this is one of the most stressful situations.I find it very tiring and hard to cope with finding a job.In my case there are different factors that make it harder but I guess everybody has got his/her troubles.
By the way, apart from not getting payed, boredom and a lack of patience are giving me a very hard time.
Any advice is highly appreciated.

Well I have been off work for some time now myself. And it is very frustrating appling for jobs you know you can do but, the luck of the draw is not on your side. Basically my job is finding a job, and spend most of my time looking on the Internet going to employment agencies and going to companies that I find are hiring or soon will be. It is sad but the economy and politics drives the work force. It may seem like you will never get a job. All I can say is don't give up looking because there are alot of good people looking for work to.

I fully understand your situation as I too have been unemployed for many months. I was able to collect benefits for the first 6 months, but now I'm totally on my own.

One way I found to cope is to sign up with a temp agency. You do not need to pay out money for them to find you work. Depending on your set of skills, you should be able to get a little work, which always helps to re-boost your confidence.

While you are job hunting, now's a great time to do more work around the house. Try to finish those projects you have been putting off. As a previous poster suggested, do some volunteer work, join a gym, something to keep from becoming lax.

Everyone's situation is different, and we should not judge someone because we think they are not going about the job search the way we would. The stress is tremendous, and until someone is actually in this situation, it's hard to put oneself in the others shoes.

I hope this helps and you are able to find work soon!

Do all of the cliche stuff - join professional organizations, volunteer, workout regularly outside the home (at some cheap or free gym). Find and join a job search focus or networking group.

This other stuff will take your mind off the search for a little while at least and will help your search (networking & getting/staying in shape) and then it will be easier to go back to the job search grind.

Are you not recieving unemployment? Unless you quit. There is no reason really that you should be bored, if you need to find yourself a new job.
