Wu-Tang clan ain't nuttin' ta f*** wit
GZA's Liquid Swords album (not to be confused with Legend of Liquid Swords) is one of the best in Hip-Hop. "Heavy Mental" by Killah Priest is great. Can't go wrong with KRS-ONE. If you have old-schoolish tastes you'll like those. Otherwise, might be too deep for you.

What kind of hip hop? You can always start your collection off with Jay Z, Nas, Rakim, Doug Fresh, McLyte, LL Cool J, Biggie, Tupac, Big Daddy Kane, Heavy D, Salt & Pepper, and much more to many to name, but this was before hip hop became about food and body parts. Please do not get 36 Mafia they worship the devil.

I reccomend u listen to 2pac, Notorious BIG, Snoop Dogg, Three 6 Mafia, Joe Budden, Lil' Flip, Memphis Bleek, Cam'Ron, Eminem, Dr. Dre, The Game.... whew! there are a lot in this list. If u really want to be a true hip-hop lover, do not listen to alot of the mainstream sellouts. look for rappers u never even heard of.

If your looking for something that isn"t mainstream then check out the artists from the boot camp clik... buckshot, cocoa brovas(smiff n wesson), sean price, etc. They were kinda big in the mid 90's. very raw - straight up beats and rhymes
