But it is not ok for Indians to be abused on the same channel? A shipwreck constestant said that she is all for slavery to come back and nobody complained nor said anything at about her racist behaviour but the whole world has gone crazy over Jade's rant at Shilpa which is nothing but jealousy and fear of Shilpa?

It isn't ok- and the Jade racism row has proved that ignorance is still very apparent, as she was't aware what she said was a racist remark (which I agree yes was fuelled by jealousy and all the rest of it). It is something that u cannot just 'ignore' and black people have been discriminated and been the but of many jokes- the Ali G show for example is one many don't find funny!
With Shipwrecked 4 some reason it didn't make the ITN news, but was read in papers & heard on radio- but what's really awful is that the british are supposed to be celebrating their vote to end their involvement in the slave trade since 1807, and is really ignorant and disgusting that such people still believe it was a 'just' action in this day and age! You may expect such views from an elder person, but the fact she is young is worrying- these views must have come from somewhere!
Just because people are different- it doesn't automatically equate abuse and discrimination- people need to open their mind and look around them- multicultural Britain is here to embrace.

Never saw shipwreck & never watch gutter TV like BB. Seems J.G. is an ignorant little foul-mouth & should have been gagged by BB bosses-but of course they loved the publicity-to start with, anyway. Viewers got pissed off and preferred to watch ice dancing so they deservedly lost out. BB should be axed as it encourages filth- george galloway/pussycat-yuk!
We should apologise for the horrors of slavery and have some kind of a memorial, like a mdel of a slave ship so people could see just how inhumane conditions were. Cities like Bristol grew rich from the trade of Africans to USA.
More to the point right now- fight real racism and the BNP and make sure that racist comments-even made "as a joke" are always challenged- don't go along with casual insults.

Abuse of ANY sort should never be tolerated.
The Shipwrecked contestant's views are deplorable but were general views and not directed to a single person.
The Jade/Shilpa idiocy was blown out of all proportion even though the subject was serious.
Please dont think that all British people share this view!

There has been complains made against shipwreck on the same grounding as well. Shipwreck is probably not as widely known as BB, so less complains. I think both these should be treated as one major issue and addressed and Channel 4 fines heavily for this, if not loose its licence

because the channel 4 are racist against Asian people. my mate gets celebrate gossip every day to her phone today it said 'celebrity gossip CBB's in trouble again. they're scrapping all votes for eviction after a telly mix up lead to viewers voting for Shilpa to be evicted.' i think this means they don't want to be called as racist so they are going to make Shilpa win.

It's a load of middle class sh#ts stirring up racism for their own end.
Its funny that on the BB racism week, on Monday the headline was about the suicide bombers in court and the Tuesday the whole race row was thrown up and thick middle class white people joined on the happening subject.

Racism is only a problem if we let the media get their own way.
