The reason why I ask is because i think that there are some people that are not ready for either, therefore it really won't make a difference whether or not these candidates have good patforms.

Both! I'm hoping that Hillary and Obama are on the same ticket. It's about time! and I think they can actually pull it off!

I've been wondering a lot about that myself. As an independent, I'll have to see who the final candidates are and what they have to say to really make up my mind.

I wonder if it's occurred to anyone that we have a female Speaker of the House, and if the President and VP were both killed we WOULD have a female President.

It's only a matter of time before the President is not a white male.

I have questions for you. Why does the sex or race of our president matter to you? Shouldn't you focus on their platform and the issues our country is facing at this time?
The race and sex of a presidential candidate does not constitute if they will or will not make a good president for our country. You're asking and focusing on the wrong issues.
The sex and race of our president has always been an issue and I've always felt this was a silly issue to focus on. Come on America is a great country let's stop the insanity and concentrate on the issues not the gender or race of our leader.

I think we're ready for either. I don't know who I'll be supporting just yet. I need to see the final roster and their stance on everything before I decide.

We sure as hell are not ready for Hillary or Obama, that is just ridiculous. They should come up with serious candidate, or whoever gets the Republican nomination is going to run unopposed.

The U.S. is ready for any one who has the answers we need to get this country on the right track as long as it isn't Obama or Hillary. Condi, I would vote for.

I think the US is ready for change, period. I'm supporting a medical marijuana user, Steve Kubby. He can tell the country how he's only been alive the past 31 years because marijuana has kept him rare and deadly cancer in check by cutting of nutrients to the cancer cells and killing them, and also keeping his blood pressure in check. He's a Libertarian too, which is our third largest party and has many people in office already. America needs a bigger change than a different sex.
