Are there some subjects that are off limits for jokes, such as disabilty etc? Not in my eyes, I think anythings fair game as long as it makes me laugh....

I'm with you, there is nothing we can't laugh at. I mean within reason, it'd be wrong to go laugh at the guy that's just found his baby dead (example) but the great thing about people is that we have the ability to move on and just deal, things are sad for a while, but eventually we gotta laugh. Why be sad just because there's a rule that says we should?

I'll laugh at anything, no matter how terrible unless it has to do with animal abuse. That's the only thing I can't have a sense of humor about. I will laugh at jokes about pedophiles even though I don't find the abuse funny at all in real life. Laughing at horrible things makes life more bearable sometimes.
(obviously I laugh 'behind closed doors' since I don't actually want to hurt anyones feelings!!)

I used to tell leper jokes - then I went to a leper colony to help. But did that stop me telling the jokes? No.
If a joke is funny, then tell it.
The best Irish jokes come from Irish commedians, i.e. they are taking the p..ss out of themselves.
And do you think that vicars do not tell religious jokes?
I would draw the line at disabled - but then again one of the best jokes I heard about disabled peeps came from a chap who had spent his whole life in a wheelchair.
So........... If it's funny, just tell it.

If it is demeaning to somebody/animal then no I don't find it funny, but one thing I do have a good laugh about, and make fun of, is myself! I would rather laugh than cry as the saying goes!

I won't laugh at someone else's pain, unless they're laughing too; I won't laugh at anything that even BEGINS to look like animal abuse, and anything about hurting a child or small animal, for any reason, is totally off limits.

jokes are more than just subjects
the demeanor that is intended by the joke is more important than the subject.
i believe that all subjects are okay for joking just depends on if the joke is intended for joking or something negative like demeaning or hurting.

I won't laugh at anything that makes other people feel bad about themselves - that includes disabilities. I wouldn't like it done to me and I won't do it myself.

I've heard a few jokes about dead babies and a few about (yes, really) sex with babies.
I didn't bother to laugh. Or comment. I hope my silence (and eye-glowing with disdain) stare sent the desired message.

I laugh at everything that's has comical content, and if hasn't got anything comical in it , my mind makes it up..but that's my inner smiles.. lol
