News Flash. He did do that. Do some research and you will see that the inspectors were there until the first bomb was dropped.

What news do u read? Saddam did let in the inspectors & the UN told the US 2 wait until the inspections were finished before starting war. Mr. Bush decided that he couldnt wait & started war with Iraq even with the inspectors in there. Of course 2 wait would have defeated his purpose as the WMD would not have been found & therefore no war.

The forget it, because Saddam "claimed" he was following the rules.
Of course, those rules didn't really allow for referring to chemical plants as "presidential palaces" and off-limits to inspection.
They also didn't allow for Saddam to stall the inspectors at the border while a convoy of trucks (we are talking over 50 here) show up at a chemical plant load that was going to be instpected and leave. (we have satellite photos of that happening).

"All Saddam had to do was say "ok, ok, inspectors you can see the palaces to which I've denied you access - whatever you want to see, you can go there, same-day" and there would have been no war."
Actually, he DID do that. Finally, right before the war inspectors got an exclusive no-holds-barred tour of Iraq and they found nothing. Apparently that wasn't good enough for us.

He let thim in over here, but not there....then next week, they could go there, but not here....
HE DID THIS FOR OVER TEN YEARS!!!!! ARE YOU FORGETTING CLINTON BOMBED HIM FOR THE VERY SAME THING? THEN HE WENT RIGHT BACK TO DOING IT SOME MORE!

He let the inspectors in, several times. There were NO WMDs.
But Bush 'logic' came in... "we can't find any WMD's, so he must be hiding them."
