I think you are being very unfair categorising teachers as all being annoying.
Yes we teach a class of 30 kids but I for one definitely do not treat them all the same.
I appreciate that all children as are all teachers different.
Some are good and some are bad.
I obviously don't know my pupils as well as their parents but some of the parents don't seem to know their own kids very well. Some parents sit them in front of the t.v as soon as they get in or send them out to play they maybe spend a half an hour each evening with them I spend all day. obviously the majority of parents are not as bad as this
Everyone is an individual that includes teachers parents and their children.
If you are unhappy with the way your child is being taught I suggest you first speak to the teacher and if you get no joy go to the head and the governors.
All children are entitled to a broad and balanced education but unfortunately it cannot be specifically tailored to any one child's needs.

Teacher are not all the same but I agree that some are very patronising and tend to treat every child the same. They cannot cope with mixed abilities in a class and teach and encourage to the brightest pupils. As time goes by the less able pupils are left behind and then cannot make up and lose interest. This is when the discipline starts to break down. You have certainly offended some teachers but then with 13 weeks holiday a year they should learn to take the criticism.

I have to ask, how many of you who are so down on teachers have tried to teach? I am planing to get my Bachelors in education and I have taught in a daycare. It's not easy, I had 14-16 kids everyday. You try to meet everyone of the individual needs, but you can't. I can't imagine doing it with 25-30 kids, five or more times a day. Teachers do the best that they can. I also have two children, and I have taught my four year old everything she will need for kindergarten, that also isn't easy. All I'm trying to say is that teachers do what they can, but you cannot meet every single persons specific needs all the time. Give them the credit that they deserve.
Thanks

Try putting yourself in their shoes for a minute. They have the least respected, lowest paying, highest expectation job on the planet and yet we still ***** about them.
30 kids, you're talking 1 class period, the teacher probably has 5 a day, so that'd be about 150 kids. Imagine trying to treat each one as an individual and making that work without burning yourself out.
I have no overt love for teachers and do think that there are way too many that have no will to teach and no love for kids, but I don't think I'd be able to handle that job and the pay they get, unless I won the lotto and money was not an issue.

You think it is easy to teach a class of 30? How about becoming a teacher's aide and helping the situation if you do not like it. Could you imagine the time it takes to make one teaching agenda much less one for each child? If you do not like the way your child is being taught, have him or her tested to see if they would be eligible to take the next class up curriculum. You have to become an involved parent instead of criticizing and doing nothing.

Schools will always dumb down the class to the lowest common denominator so everyone can keep up. That is why class streaming is such a good idea. Sod the begrudgers who say it stigmatises their child to be put in the "stupid group" He/she will feel more stupid in a mixed class where the subjects have gone beyond their understanding. Teachers need to be brought into line with the rest of us at work and do a full day and a full year and quit whinging

i disagree, teachers have over crowded class rooms that makes it difficult for the children,i do agree they should not be treated the same as far as academically.that's when you take the ropes and find out why .are they not being challenged enough or are there disabilities not being addressed.the solution is call a meeting they have to give you one.

Yeah I get that feeling sometimes... they aren't even trying to teach my son to read yet - he's six! But because he has special needs, he obviously can't learn to read?!?!
Good job I've been teaching reading, and mathematics, not to mention social skills, how to walk etc... since he was 3!
But the school keeps sending him home with picture books, that have no words - and they tell me he followed the book really well?!?!
Apart from this issue I have, his school is great though, he's happy there, has lots of friends, and he is learning a lot more than I think his school even realises
:D
