We are divided by language, geography, religion, social values, races, political philosophies, clans, tribes, and families. How could it be otherwise? Could you imagine if there were only two nations, and they decided to go to war. The whole earth would be involved in the conflict, the end of the world, Armageddon. Oh, that's right, it has already been written about in the Bible. When you see borders disappearing, and nations being swallowed up by larger entities (Common Market, NAFTA, UN etc), the global conflict is not far behind. When only a couple of countries are involved in conflict, as bad as they can be, it acts as sort of a stress reliever, and soon they go back to there own business.
