All weather proofing means Is to seal any drafts around windows and doors, Maybe install storm windows, and insulate Ext. walls and ceilings to the proper"R-rating. You can do all these things, but I'm sure using a professional would be a wise choice, esp. if you are not familiar with the hows and whys.

We weather proof ourselves but some poeple dont have the knowledge and stuff for that but we take the cheap way out and it isnt very decorative but we put visquine on all the windows for easy removal later you would not believe how much this saves us and keeps us much warmer in the winter...yea you can have someone else come and do it but you are going to look at spending a bill or two

A home improvement person can do this for you and may things you can do yourself.
